Oh my, after the last posting you'd think that there wouldn't be much more the Lord would throw my way but HA, His ways are not mine!!!
If any SAHM with little ones is like me, they would find it one of the most ultimate challenges of living with someone else until your new house is ready. We've been staying with family but like any family that consists of more than just a momma and daddy you can see the challenge one could/would face.
You can tell the kiddos are at the end of their ropes too! The other day my oldest asked me, "When are we going back home to KS?" I just smiled and said, "Hunny, this is our home now. We have to be grateful that the Lord has given us a place to stay." She just replied with a simple, "Ok."
We've been back almost a month and all throughout that time I'm constantly reminded of the apostle Paul when he was writing to the Philippians. He made sure to talk about how important it is that we are content in whatever circumstance or situation we find ourselves in. That can be a challenge just living in your OWN house, much less someone else! I can see over and over again how the Lord has guided our steps and brought us to exactly where we need to be. Is it frustrating sometimes? YES! Is it overwhelming at times? YES! However, I tend to be instantly reminded of this, James1:2-4
2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various [c]trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces [d]endurance. 4 And let [e]endurance have its perfect [f]result, so that you may be [g]perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
At the end of the day, it all is determined on how you responded to those various trials etc. Did you have a Christ-centered response, knowing that the Lord would be pleased with every area of reaction? Or, were there moments where you most certainly would have hung your head in shame had He, all of a sudden physically walked into the room. I know I'm not perfect by any means but, my prayer is that the Lord would use me and my various trials and tribulations to encourage those who might be going through something to have the right response(s). We aren't perfect creatures, BUT, that doesn't excuse us from not striving towards a godly perfection!
